PIERCE CLOSES SHOOTOUT STRONG IN TUESDAY’S FINALE
CONCORD, N.C. – Currie Pierce started deep in the pack and made his way to 10th place in Tuesday night’s 20-lap semi-pro legends car feature – the final race of the Quaker Steak & Lube Summer Shootout at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Pierce raced hard through a string of late-race cautions, making his way to the top 10 in another wild semi-pro feature.
“I’m beat,” Pierce admitted after Tuesday’s feature. “I don’t know what else to say other than I drove my butt off to get up to 10th. Everyone is fast; it’s just so hard to gain spots when you get into the top 10. We worked hard, and got some decent finishes in these last few shootout races.” Read More...
